Discover one of the most beautiful parts of the Randstad: The region around Noordwijk and Noordwijkerhout. This is where the Dune and Bulb Region come together. The bicycle tour goes along the bulb fields, once dunes and now an important tourist attraction. In spring tulips, daffodils or hyacinths grow here and in late summer dahlias or gladioli. And do you know that we have our own "Lake Como" here? We also visit Nederzandt, a self-proclaimed free state in the region. Here we take a short break with coffee or tea with apple pie. We continue our bicycle tour through National Park "Hollandse Duinen", with beautiful views and a very diverse landscape. With a little luck we will spot deer, foxes or rabbits. We come to places you can only get to by bike or on foot. There is also a focus on the history of the region along the way. The Atlantic Wall museum, the white church and the lighthouse of Noordwijk are all on the route. And did you know that there used to be an airfield in the dunes? In a place where you wouldn't expect it! There are still planes landing at the glider airfield we pass, maybe we'll see some!
In Noordwijk there is time to visit the beach, eat a fish or grab a terrace. Or enjoy shopping in one of the nice little stores. Don't buy too much, it all has to come back with you on the bike to Noordwijkerhout! Here you can sit on one of the terraces on the nice village square and chat about your varied bike tour.
